Tara and Praim

Tara (25ish) and Praim (60ish) - Niece and Uncle

If you were an animal, what animal would you be and why?

Tara: I would be a lion for many reasons. First of all, my star sign is Leo and our last name means Lion in the ancient Sanskrit! I also find that lions are leaders and I, too, like to follow my own path. Lions also stick with their prides, and I am very close knit with my family. They are courageous, loyal, and night owls, just like me! Not to mention I love big hair just like a lion mane—the bigger the better!

Praim: The animal I would be is a horse. A horse can teach courage and responsibility. They can be timid or brave, lazy or athletic, obstinate or willing. I find myself to be the same! Horses have love, life and learning in their hearts, just like me. They function well both alone and as part of a team, and I think I could say the same for myself as well.

What would be your ideal family vacation?

Tara: A cruise! We could be adventurous all day and then congregate at dinner to share stories from the day’s activities. I think a mix of time for ourselves and time together with the whole family is perfect!

Praim: The Atlantis Resort and Casino on Paradise Island, Bahamas. Similar to what Tara said a family-friendly vacation with a multitude of options for us to be relaxed and entertained is ideal. My family loves nature and the outdoors, especially the island life! We love the beaches and the heat.

Who’s the more adventurous one?

Tara: Of the two of us I would say that I am the more adventurous one! I have jumped out of a plane, nearly drowned while white water rafting, travelled to the Philippines by myself for 3 months, and walked into the everglades with alligators in Florida!

Praim: While I agree that Tara is an adventurous girl, I also have always been willing to take risks and have been known to embark on exciting adventures. My opinion has always been that you should go on as many adventures as possible in life, as it is important to experience new things. It might require a bit of courage, but you never know what awaits you!

If you each had one wish, what would your wish be?

Tara: If I had one wish, I would wish for the ability to time travel so I could visit my ancestors and see how they lived. I’d love to witness how we evolved into what we are today.

Praim: My wish would be for prosperity for all mankind. This would include the rich sharing with the poor, the strong providing for the weak, and no distinctions between first, second, and third class citizens.

Do you have any unusual talents or hobbies? What are they?

Tara: A couple of unusual hobbies I have are actually ones that I share with Uncle Praim! We both love brain teaser games and name meanings. For example, Praim means “love” and my name means “star” in Hindi/Sanskrit. I also like to collect antique royal memorabilia like plates and cups, specifically from 1900-1952!

Praim: I am very fond of gardening and growing flowers, especially roses. I also enjoy playing cricket and golf, meeting new people and trying new food.
